Good Candidates for Brow Lift Surgery

The forehead lift is typically performed on men and women in their 40’s to 60’s, but it is also performed on younger patients who have begun to see early signs of aging.

Brow Lift Procedural Steps

There are two types of brow lift procedures: open or endoscopic forehead lift. The procedure generally involves removing excess tissue and relocating the skin to smooth the forehead, lift the upper eyelids and minimize frown lines.

A brow lift may sometimes be performed using an endoscope (surgical video device) and special instruments placed through small incisions made within the hairline. The incision lines from a brow lift are well masked within the hair or natural contours of the face unless they are placed at the hairline to shorten the forehead.

Brow lift incisions typically are closed with removable or absorbable sutures or permanent sutures to preserve elevation.

Brow Lift Recovery

After brow lift surgery in Mexico, you are generally able to return to work within 7 to 10 days and resume strenuous activities within a few weeks. Sun exposure should be restricted for several months.

Your plastic surgeon may loosely wrap your forehead to minimize swelling and bruising. A thin tube may be present to drain any excess blood or fluid that may collect under the skin.
